The perspective behind the practice

Built from the company side of the table.

Dillon’s experience was built working with executives, boards, advisers, and functional teams as transactions moved from evaluation through diligence, negotiation, approvals, and close.

That includes his corporate development role at Essor Group and strategic advisory work with Volo across acquisitions, strategic transactions, and financings.

Dillon played a senior company-side role in the transaction that formed Essor, including financial modeling, diligence, negotiation, and execution. His company-side experience also includes venture financings, convertible instruments, credit facilities, and refinancings.

The person you hire is the person doing the work.

Clients work directly with Dillon throughout the engagement. There is no handoff to a junior execution team.

Where the foundation was built.

Earlier in his career, Dillon worked as a transaction analyst at Perkins Coie and a corporate paralegal at Cooley, supporting venture financings, M&A, and other corporate transactions.

That experience built an early foundation in capitalization, diligence, documentation, and closing mechanics before he moved into company-side corporate development.

Perspective changes the outcome.

In the mountains, aspect describes the direction a slope faces and helps shape the conditions you encounter. The alpine reference is personal: skiing and time in the mountains are part of the inspiration behind North Aspect.

Aspect also means an angle or perspective. Transactions work the same way: economics, structure, risk, timing, and stakeholder interests can look different depending on where you stand.

North Aspect was built around understanding the terrain, examining the relevant angles, and helping management make decisions with a clear read of the conditions.
